Mama Juju & the Jam Tarts

sunshine coast Ukulele festival, tropulele 2017

Big Top Marquee
Sunday 2.30pm

Mama Juju & The Jam Tarts are an all singing, all women band with quirky songs, big personalities and big harmonies. Their music is a mix of yin and yang; old, borrowed and new; sexy, sad and funny mostly original songs.

Mama Juju & The Jam Tarts always entertain and create a sassy, fun, upbeat vibe whenever they hit the stage

Brought together by their mutual IAS (Instrument Acquisition Syndrome), the Tarts share quite a collection of instruments between them. Luckily ukuleles are small and don’t take up much room in the car! They also play guitars, bass, flute, glockenspiel, piccolo, harmonica, toy piano, eggs, spoons and other kitchen utensils, congas, bongos, washboard, lagerphone, cajon, thumb piano, banjo, oboe and even pack a full drum kit when they really want to rock out.

.Mama Juju & The Jam Tarts released their first all original CD “Titbits” in late 2016 and are currently working on their second CD “Ukulele Mama”.
