Mama Juju & The Jam Tarts embrace their inner girl power with quirky songs, big personalities and sweet harmonies. Their music easily slides across genres from folk to country to jazz, rock, blues and whatever else takes their fancy. So, a Mama Juju & The Jam Tarts concert is like a box of chocolates- you never know what you are going to get next! Their sassy and sometimes funny original songs have been well received at Festival performances and via the radio airwaves. Mama Juju & The Jam Tarts always create a fun upbeat vibe whenever they hit the stage.
Brought together by their mutual IAS (Instrument Acquisition Syndrome), the Tarts share quite a collection of instruments between them. Luckily ukuleles are small and don’t take up much room in the car!
They also play guitars, bass, flute, glockenspiel, piccolo, harmonica, spoons and other kitchen utensils, congas, bongos, washboard, lagerphone, cajon, thumb piano and even pack a full drum kit when they really want to rock out.
Mama Juju & The Jam Tarts have recorded two CDs – “Titbits” and “Ukulele Mama”.
