Sunshine Coast Ukulele Festival presents the following artists for Troplulele 2017
Atete’s Hawaiian & Polynesian Dance Troupe
Work is in progress on the Tropulele 2017 program and we’re looking forward to presenting to you a full and exciting event spread out over 4 fabulous days and nights. Please keep checking in as new artists and events are being added regularly.
Printed programs will be available at check-in and the merch tent.
Thursday night is jam session night, SCUM style. Bring your ukulele and your Sunshine Coast Ukulele Masters songbook for one of our clubs famous jam sessions led by Pineapple Crush. All the songs will be advised prior to the festival, with access to the songs on our club page, plus we’ll have plenty of our club songbooks for sale in the merch tent and we hope to have the songs projected onto a big screen. Everyone will be able to join in.
Daily afternoon concerts are being planned for the program. Stay tuned for the Program.
Friday and Saturday nights will feature our main concerts in the Big Top marquee. Stay tuned for the Program.
Sunday night is finale night in the Big Top marquee. Always a bit of a surprise, but it will include all our main artists and maybe the audience .
A range of workshops have been planned by our artists and will be held on Friday, Saturday & Sunday mornings and Sunday afternoon. Ukulele, drumming, singing and dance. We have some very exciting workshops coming for you.
The annual songwriting comp will be happening again this year. The winner is going to be chosen by the audience. Please see our page for conditions of entry. Day and time to be advised.
Open Mic Sessions
Open Mic sessions (walk-ups) will be featured daily at the Kenilworth Hotel, hosted by Harvey Bryce. 11am to 3pm
Our hilarious and notorious UkeWiz will be featured on Friday 22nd, hosted by the very witty Geoff Armstrong. The panel is made up from our guest artists and the resident UkeWiz musician will also be one of our guest artists, who we can’t name yet, because it’s only fair to tell him first.
Hawaiian Buffet & Hawaiian Dance & Drum Show
On Sunday 23rd we have a very special dinner show you do not want to miss. This spectacular early evening event with a sensational Hawaiian style buffet, including main course and dessert features a fantastic show with Hawaiian dancing, music & drumming. Dinner is from 5.30 to 7.30 The Hawaiian Spectacular starts at 5.30
Price is $40 per person. Dinner Show tickets can be purchased when booking your festival tickets. If you have booked your festival tickets and forgot to book your Dinner Show tickets, you can book them separately.

We will have a selection of food to choose from at the festival site.
